    The authors


    The Swede Lars Svensson is one of the most renowned ornithologists, whose passion for birds is evident not only in his standard works but also in lectures and articles in specialist journals. Many years ago, he conceived the idea for this book and involved Peter J. Grant and Killian Mullarney in the project from the very beginning. Killian is considered one of the most important bird artists of our time. Illustrator Dan Zetterström has been part of the team since the 1990s.
