EAG - Information on the take-back of electrical appliances
The Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG) regulates the placing on the market, the take-back, and the environmentally sound disposal of electrical and electronic equipment. Old electrical equipment that is no longer in use must not be thrown away with regular household waste.
Take-back of electrical and electronic equipment
The Kuhn engineering office offers the following take-back options to private end users/private households:
- Free return of up to 3 small devices (external dimensions less than 25cm)
- 1:1 trade-in upon purchase of a new, similar large appliance
Handling of returns/deliveries:
- As the customer, you send us the old device(s). You must bear the shipping costs!
- Beforehand, check the device(s) for any damage such as leaking liquids, burst batteries or sharp edges.
- All batteries and rechargeable batteries must be removed from the device(s) before disposal and handed in at (e.g. municipal) collection points!
- Especially with larger devices: Secure storage in the vehicle, e.g. using straps or cardboard boxes. Place smaller devices in suitable containers.
- Take the device to a certified recycling center.
Alternatively, as a customer, you can also personally drop off old electrical appliances at our shop in Brohm after prior arrangement.
